In Iceland

I've arrived at my residency in Iceland and I'm starting to settle in!  I should be able to post a bit more regularly now.  I picked a loom and spun a few pounds of fiber before I unpacked, so at least I have my priorities in order.  Since I'm a spinning machine, I had to dig out my computer today so I could order more wool.  This time it'll be Icelandic, yay!

This is where I'll be staying.  It's also right on the ocean!

Detail of where I'm sitting right this moment.  As I type this, I'm looking out over the mouth of the river and the ocean!

Plenty of beautiful lichen everywhere, as usual.

Interesting flowers everywhere.

During low tide, the ducks half swim half waddle across the mouth of the river.  I can watch them form my window.

It doesn't get very dark at night yet, but the ocean, moon, sun, lights, and reflections all play well together at midnight.
